How to Up Your Style and Grace During Airport Travels - Cubicle Chic

How to Up Your Style and Grace During Airport Travels - Cubicle Chic How to Up Your Style and Grace During Airport Travels Corporate Life, Lifestyle, Travel June 10, 2016 1 Comment  Dress: c/o Tobi ||  Sneakers: Adidas Tubular || Backpack: Asos || Suitcase: RimowaI love to people watch at airports. What I love even more is spotting people who manage to stay stylish, calm, and composed while navigating through the chaos of security checks and luggage management. Watching them is fun and it brings me peace and joy in a weird way.In years of airport people watching/stalking, I started to notice a trend among the “airport graceful”. The key is to have minimal carry-on luggage and wear outfits that are conducive to traveling.  From there, I’ve developed my formula.  Here goes: A comfy dress, sporty sneakers, one personal item, and a easy-to-wheel-around carry-on suitcase.  To combat the unpredictable airplane temperature, I usually bring a jacket/cardigan of some sort to help my stay warm. In this case, the jacket even serves as a cinching tool to give me some curves in this dress that otherwise has a bit of a tomboy-ish silhouette. This sporty chic dress is by Tobi, it’s called Game On Trapeze Dress, and can be found here. Tobi is my new found online shopping destination, and for all first time shoppers everything is 50% off! Along with this dress, you can find other travel friendly pieces below on Tobi:High Low Dresses,  Mint Green Dresses,  Coats,  Black Dresses,  Hoodies,    Scarves,  What is your airport outfit go-to item? Please share with me!! I have multiple business trips coming up in the next few months. I will be paying hyper attention to business travel friendly outfit ideas and accessories!

Make Your Resume Writing Sample Work For You

Make Your Resume Writing Sample Work For YouA good resume writing sample is one of the first things that employers consider when reviewing your application. So, if you're trying to determine which section of your resume writing sample to highlight, then this article will show you a few excellent examples. An impressive first impression can go a long way in terms of landing that interview, so having a title that shows you have a superior element to offer to a new employer may be a valuable selling point. For example, when trying to persuade a larger corporation to hire you, consider suggesting that they give you a raise because you have a higher GPA or a higher score on an entrance exam than their staff. If your resume is written well enough, you can state this fact without overstating the case. Some resumes are better than others for generic questions such as 'what was your major?' or 'what is your job title?' It can be hard to find the best section for these types of questions, but th ere are some good examples for this. The main thing to remember here is to make sure you include the specific job title that you're hoping to fill, and then add your professional experience and qualifications.Next, you'll want to consider any section of your resume that you can think of. It could be relevant to the position, and it may not even be a section of your resume at all. However, employers are usually looking for the basics. For example, when applying for a technical support position, it's nice to mention that you already know how to do basic computer maintenance. At the end of the day, the most important sections of your resume are going to be the ones that outline your experiences. The majority of employers simply need to know how long you've been employed, and how you're valued in the workplace. When giving examples, it's always good to be as detailed as possible.Lastly, remember that the presentation of your resume writing sample is just that: an example. It is crucial t hat you fully understand its contents before using it. You must also ensure that it is fresh, relevant and accurate. Any information that has changed since you last looked at it is grounds for rejection. It goes without saying that your resume writing sample must have a lot of helpful content and a strong, powerful call to action. The freelancers guide to ultimate productivity with Mac OS

The freelancers guide to ultimate productivity with Mac OS677Desktop 1 The Personal StuffMy first desktop is the only real constant in this picture. Its for personal things, fun things. It contains my personal email, facebook, and whatever Im reading. I generally keep it on the left side of my desktops because its always relevant and it helps to have it in the same distributions-mix at all times. I always know if I want my personal stuff I just swipe left a few times and Im there.Related articlesQuestions to ask your future manager before joining the teamWhat should a cover letter include in 2018?6 powerful women to inspire your next career moveDesktop 2 This ArticleSo after the personal desktop, each one is set to one task. This article for example. Desktop 2 has a slack channel, some articles Im using for reference, and a Google Doc. That makes for three windows, each with one or two tabs open (thats important for later). What this all means is that everything in this desktop is con nected to writing this article and if I swipe up with four fingers I immediately see everything I have on this desktop. That translates into clarity and visibility.Desktop 3 Project ManagementI also help manage a project creating an online education platform about entrepreneurship in Sub-Saharan Africa. Here Ive got three windows, one for the various Trello boards associated with this project, another with a few articles I need to read on that subject, and a final one with updates from the company. So this desktop is for managing the project, but if I need to write a lesson, Ill use another desktop to keep my total number of windows and tabs down. Plus, if Im writing a lesson I dont need to have easy access to unterstellung project management tools.Desktop 4 Lesson WritingHere Im writing a lesson for the project mentioned in Desktop 3. Ive got an excel document open with all the transcribed interviews Im basing the lesson on in addition to a Google Doc and a page containing the outli ne and request for the lesson. Once again, Ive got only three windows each with no more than three tabs.Desktops 5-7 Free SpaceI always try to make sure I have at least one blank desktop. That means if anything new comes up which isnt connected to an additional task, I have a place to put it. It also means I always have at least one empty desktop to use as a buffer between my active and inactive tasks. Active tasks go on the left of the empty desktop(s) while inactive ones are on the right. This way I can keep track of how many things Im actively working on at all times.Desktop 8 Inactive TasksAnything Im not working on now but want to leave open goes here. In this case, its some project management windows for my work as a content creator. At the moment, Ive completed all of my tasks there, so that desktop gets moved off to the right until it becomes active again.Organizing Within DesktopsTo be honest, every time I see someone with 20-30 tabs open in a single window Im a bit horrifi ed. Not because theyre doing too many things at once (Im certainly as guilty as they come there) but because they have essentially no organization to it. Truth is, its not that hard to avoid this problem. If you read the section above, the answer should be fairly obvious. If you maintain separate desktops for your various tasks, then each time you need to open something new, this should be done within that desktop. So you shouldnt end up with a single window in a single desktop with open web pages pertaining to 4 different projects. Then, whenever you end up with more than 4 or 5 tabs in a single window, ask yourself if you can either close some of them or create a new window for them organized around a single purpose. Whenever you get a tab pileup, this tells you that some action needs to be taken to avoid a pileup.Moving Between DesktopsI changed from using Windows to using Mac OS back in 2007. If you asked me why Ive stuck with that change for all these years it wouldnt be for the hardware, for the stability, for the aesthetic, or any of the other reasons Mac users usually give. For me, its all about gestures.Four fingers to the right, four fingers up, three fingers to the left, two fingers to scroll, these action are at the absolute core of how I interact with my laptop and how my organizational ordnungsprinzip works. I can have so many windows on so many desktops because Ive set up my trackpad so I can easily move between them and see everything I have open with just a few gestures.Chances are, if this system sounds awful to you, its because you havent set up the gestures or keyboard shortcuts necessary to make it work. Thats the real key, you have to be able to easily move between all of these desktops and windows. Take that ability away and this entire system falls apart.Sounds Interesting? Try ItPlease, lets all do what we can to prevent 30 tab windows from haunting our nightmares. Stopping that particular scourge is in our hands. But Im also curious to h ear how you all organize your work? Let me know more about your system in the comments.
